The Heart Sutra is the most famous sutra (scripture) in Mahayana Buddhism. It concisely summarises the heart of the Buddha’s teaching on emptiness: “emptiness is form and form is emptiness” – that there is no difference between the truth that all things are inherently pure and empty, and the reality of the world around us.
The main characters of this “The Heart Sutra (摩诃般若婆罗蜜多心经)” Calligraphy artwork are written with gold ink in Regular script (楷书 kǎi shū ）. The small characters on the left and on the bottom are my Calligraphy inscription in Semi-cursive script (行书 xíng shū), which includes the creation time (04/2021) and my Chinese name (杨奕君) . The seal is ” Yijun ” (奕君）, my signature seal .
PS：This artwork was written from right to left, according to Chinese tradition.
