Amitabha, the “Buddha of Infinite Light”, is the Buddha at the heart of the Pure Land school of Mahayana Buddhism. By chanting “Amitabha (阿弥陀佛）”, pure land devotees merge their mind, body and spirit with the infinite light of the Buddha.
The main characters of this “Amitabha (阿弥陀佛）” Calligraphy artwork are written in Clerical script (隶书 lì shū ). The small characters on the bottom is my Calligraphy inscription in Semi-cursive script (行书 xíng shū), which includes the creation time (04/2021), my Chinese name (杨奕君) and the creation place (Melbourne). The right gourd shaped seal is “ruyi” （如意）, which means “as one wishes”. The left seal is ” Yijun ” (奕君）, my signature seal .
PS：This artwork was written from right to left, according to Chinese tradition.
